Tata Electronics’ semiconductor fabrication facility is a transformative leap for India’s tech manufacturing sector. Located in Dholera, Gujarat, and developed in partnership with Taiwan’s PSMC, this is India’s first major semiconductor wafer fab, targeting 28nm–55nm chips for automotive, AI, telecom, and data sectors. The total investment stands at ₹91,000 crore (~$11.5 billion USD), with a projected monthly capacity of 50,000 wafers and over 20,000 skilled jobs. The project also includes a large-scale residential township and smart infrastructure. Interested businesses can connect via www.tataelectronics.com or email contact@tataelectronics.com.

More than a factory, Dholera’s semiconductor hub is the nucleus of a smart city ecosystem. Tata Electronics is building 1,500 residential units to accommodate engineers, technologists, and their families. Of these, 500 are already constructed and 250 are occupied. The township merges green living with high-tech workspaces, forming a live–work innovation corridor. As housing and infrastructure continue through early 2026, Dholera is set to be a thriving urban-tech center supporting India’s growing semiconductor economy.

Complementing the Gujarat fab, Tata Electronics is also establishing an assembly and test facility in Assam. This plant, expected to be operational by mid-to-late 2025, will focus on final chip packaging — a critical value-chain step that allows quicker deployment of semiconductors across global markets. The Assam facility represents strategic decentralization and regionally distributed manufacturing. Both the Assam and Gujarat projects reflect India’s drive for semiconductor self-sufficiency. This ₹91,000 crore investment into Tata’s Dholera facility is underpinned by cutting-edge technology and world-class partnerships. The plant will manufacture semiconductors for automotive electronics, AI processors, telecommunications systems, and enterprise data. PSMC (Taiwan) and global toolmakers will supply precision fabrication equipment. With smart automation, the fab will reach up to 50,000 wafers/month. Tata Electronics’ vision combines scale, sustainability, and speed — empowering India’s long-term digital evolution.

Tata’s smart manufacturing vision includes automation, AI, and real-time data analytics. At the Dholera fab, robotic arms handle silicon wafers, sensors monitor conditions, and AI systems fine-tune operations. This creates a low-error, high-efficiency environment. The synergy between automation and skilled workforce sets a new global standard for chip production. With advanced cleanrooms and AI-augmented maintenance systems, this facility is more than high-tech — it’s a prototype of the smart fabs of tomorrow.
